Frequently asked questions.

  • Nope. Nobody NEEDS coaching. But if you’re reading this, you’re probably looking for a professional to help you with a problem you’re facing. The same way you’d go to a nutritionist with nutrition advice or a hairdresser to get your hair done. You want someone who has knowledge, experience, and expertise you don’t, and I can provide that.

  • If you want to lets do it! I’m serious, why not? If you’re on the fence with coaching this is a perfect opportunity to try something new. for your first time meeting me. There’s no obligation of payment afterwards and no pressure to sign up for anything after our convo.

  • This is a very common question, and there are some major differences between the two so it is important to distinguish. The TL:DR is that transformational coaching focuses on empowering clients to make major life changes and achieve specific goals, while therapy addresses mental health concerns and emotional healing.

In my practice we are creating deep shifts and major change, but not processing trauma or treating mental illness. This is why having therapy along with coaching can be very powerful. I always recommend seeing a therapist for diagnosed mental health disorders as this is not a substitute for clinical support.

Having worked in the mental health field, I’ve seen how therapy is shaped by specific models, legal mandates, and insurance requirements. While these can sometimes help, they often limit providers and depersonalize care. Coaching offers more freedom, I’m not bound by rigid systems and can draw from a wide range of perspectives, practices, and lived experience. As someone also training to become a therapist, I’m thinking about the differences between these approaches to healing and change..

  • The TL:DR is that life coaches help create goals and motivate plans to achieve them, while transformational coaches look at the why behind actions and help break patterns to create a life built on self-belief and self-trust.

Whereas a life coach is outcome oriented, a transformational coach inspires people to see themselves and their goals differently. From pbzconsult.com, it states:

“When done right, you empower clients to:

    • Feel more confident in who they are

    • Handle big life changes smoothly

    • Think in ways that help them grow

    • Know themselves better

    • Deal with emotions in a smarter way”

After going through the process of transformational coaching, our work may look more like life coaching where we’re setting goals, but the why will never be lost. As we move through these goals, we would constantly re-access why we’re doing what we’re doing and if we’re creating a life that feels best for us.
